To ensure the efficient generation, monitoring, and reporting of forestry statistical data in time for its annual publication, the Forest Management Bureau is currently conducting the Annual Validation Workshop for the Philippine Forestry Statistics at Microtel by Wyndham UP Technohub, Quezon City.

The three-day activity scheduled from 27-29 May 2024 is attended by participants from DENR Regional Offices who are responsible for the management and implementation of forestry Statistical Reporting Systems.

Guest speakers from the Philippine Statistics Authority graced the event to provide an overview of the System of National Accounts, highlighting the significance of Designated Statistics. Aside from this, they also expounded on the Environment Statistics and Accounts. The FMB regularly contributes pertinent data to both accounts.

To harmonize the regional and national databases, observations and findings were presented for review and consultation, addressing any discrepancy and finalizing the data to be adopted.
